Meet Alyssa

Alyssa is an Inclusive Gathering Facilitator, Circle & Ceremony Mentor, Mindfulness and Meditation Guide, Yoga Teacher, and Shamanic Practitioner based in Edmonton, AB. She is the Co-Founder of E L E M E N T A - a space where she facilitates circles and retreats based in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a dreamer at her core and it is seen in the way that she views the world of possibilities. As an all-loving and accepting soul, the medicine she walks in this lifetime is as a heart healer.

Alyssa is certified through Lifestyle Mediation where she developed her knowledge that is rooted in both scientifically studied methods and ancient traditional techniques. Meditation is simply the practice of letting go and becoming familiar. It is in that release that we carve out space to receive even more fully than before.

She studied Akhanda Yoga through Prana Yoga Studio’s 200-hour YTT. This holistic style of yoga involves Breathing (Pranayama), Movement (Asana), Sounding (Chanting), Meditation (Dhyana), and Yogic Wisdom. She teaches these practices as a way to harmonize the Soul with the Mind and Body. Akhanda yoga is designed with the intention of bringing you and your energy to a balanced and sustainable state.

She has spent years developing her relationship to herself, there was a long process to finding not only her footing but her higher path. Now she has completed many personal development courses and a Shamanic Practitioner training. She remains committed to learning and being a student of the Earth and Spirit. With all of the gifts she receives, she evolves them into her own medicine, to then give back.

At this time she is learning from Gabor Mate through his Compassionate Inquiry course as well as the Advanced Psychedelic Assisted Therapy training through ATMA. Alyssa aims to open the hearts of others to their higher calling and divine purpose. She uses methods from all across the world in Ceremony and daily living to support herself and the community.

GLIMPSE OF ME

A glimpse into my world is my love for rainbow foods, animals, and quality time. You will find me on my yoga mat, at my Altar journalling, or sitting outside with a book under the warmth of the Sun. In the Winter months, I make Chai from scratch (a recipe I was gifted from Harsh’s mother in India) and enjoy it wrapped up in a heated blanket. There is always music on in my home, and I dance and sing often! For my birthday each year I choose to go camping, as soaking in time with the Trees, the Mountains, and the Waters, has always been my idea of Serenity. I am close with all 3 of my sisters and forever grateful for the family I have. My mother supports me and shows up for me in all the ways I hope to one day do for my future children. My father inspires me to be utterly present with life and not let anything from my past weigh on me—He’s a master alchemist. At home with me is Harsh, my partner who I absolutely adore and appreciate, and Sahiba (which translates to Queen in Persian), my sweet 5-year-old pitbull.

I love understanding people, the uniqueness of their path, their gifts, and their visions. What lights me up is watching people experience peace, even if only for a moment, as it is a remembrance of our natural state. I feel on purpose when I am in the reciprocal circuit of being inspired and inspiring others. This is what ignites me to show up and use my voice for what I love and hold in deep reverence.

My heart longs for community, meaningful connections, and conscious relationships. From these, unconditional love blossoms and we show up as the whole of who we are. I believe that practices that awaken us to our potential to create and to transform, empower us to show up authentically in the World. I know this to be true because it is through nurturing the relationship with myself that I feel connected and aligned to what I truly desire, and the way I show up.
