Why I chose Yoga

Yoga taught me how to have compassion for myself, and this compassion did not end on the mat. It extended out to my friends and family, to strangers, and to people that hold different beliefs from myself. The judgements, criticisms, and control no longer felt necessary, my defensive reactions were becoming less of my identity. This was one of the biggest transformations that came about and are why I am deeply grateful for yoga. 

A practice that simply reminded me to check in with my body, to witness sensations, and to listen to the messages. To hear my body when it was feeling not good enough, unloveable, feeling tense or unsettled, this was where I chose whether to honour and respect my body or to continue fighting against it. These key moments fostered the foundation of my journey with self-love. Blossoming & Blooming.

Now I choose movement daily, I choose to allow energy to move through me and to release.
